Baseball Recap: Columbus East Takes a Loss

Columbus East was the 3-0 winner over Jeffersonville when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Olympians fell just short of the Red Devils by a score of 6-5 on Monday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Kaden Arnholt and Marcus Wilkinson did some serious damage despite the final result: Arnholt scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2, while Wilkinson scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Columbus East now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Jeffersonville, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Coming up, Columbus East will square off against Madison at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Jeffersonville, they will challenge Charlestown at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pirates will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Red Devils surely won't give up without a fight.
