Marion is 8-1 against Sodus since December of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Marion Black Knights will head out on the road to challenge the Sodus Spartans at 1:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Marion lost 55-35 to Red Creek on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Black Knights in their matchups with the Rams: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, Sodus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They were beaten by North Rose-Wolcott 44-17.

Sodus' defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Marion, they now have a losing record at 3-4.

Everything came up roses for Marion against Sodus in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 52-18 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Marion since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
