Soccer Recap: South View Takes a Loss

South View lost against Gray's Creek back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Tigers lost 9-0 to the Bears. While losing is never fun, South View can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 378th, while Gray's Creek are ranked 183rd).

South View has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for Gray's Creek, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

South View will venture away from home to square off against Cape Fear at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South View's defense better be ready for this one: Cape Fear have averaged an impressive 3.4 goals per game this season. As for Gray's Creek, they will be playing at home against Jack Britt at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gray's Creek will need to watch out since Jack Britt have now posted at least four goals in their last four games.
