Basketball Recap: Palmetto Comes Up Short

Palmetto was the 47-15 winner over Carolina Academy when they last played one another back in February of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Palmetto Mustangs took a 40-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Carolina Academy Trojans on Friday. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Palmetto's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Carolina Academy, with the win, they broke their 21-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-10.

Palmetto will head out to take on Christ Church Episcopal at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Palmetto is facing Christ Church Episcopal at the right time seeing as Christ Church Episcopal is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Carolina Academy, they will be playing at home against Southside Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Southside Christian will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Carolina Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
