Baseball Recap: Cactus Shadows Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Cactus Shadows put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their undefeated season alive. They were the clear victor by a 10-0 margin over the Silo Rebels. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Carter Brown was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off five hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2024.

In other pitching news, Cash Duley looked comfortable as he tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance gave him a new career-low in hits.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Jack Scully, who scored three runs while going 1-for-2. Henry Verhamme was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3.

Cactus Shadows pushed their record up to 7-0-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Silo, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Cactus Shadows didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-2 win against Rock Canyon on the 19th. As for Silo, they have also already played their next contest, a 6-5 victory against Notre Dame Prep on the 19th.
