Soccer Game Preview: McComb vs. Pearl

The McComb Tigers are taking a road trip to take on the Pearl Pirates at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

McComb is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to four goals on Monday, they were much more limited against Richland on Tuesday. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Rangers an easy 7-0 victory. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Rangers recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last matchup, Pearl made sure to put some goals up on the board against Meridian on Tuesday. They blew past the Wildcats 7-0. Considering the Pirates have won six games by more than three goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

McComb's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-3. As for Pearl, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 9-5.
