Football Recap: Uvalde Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) vs. Somerset Bulldogs
Uvalde had lost six straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 2-4 to make it seven. They lost 43-22 to the Somerset Bulldogs. Despite 64 more yards than the Bulldogs, the Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

Several Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jett Flores, who threw for 298 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 42 yards. Diego Granados also helped with two TDs in total.
As for Somerset, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 28 points.
