Soccer Recap: Vanden Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Vanden, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Wood Wildcats on Friday as the Vanden Vikings made off with a 4-1 win. The high-scoring effort was just what the Vikings needed considering they were shutout in their previous contest.

They hit Wood with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Carter Cipollone (2), Alexandro Marn, and Juan Sotelo.

Vanden's victory bumped their record up to 8-3-3. As for Wood, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7-3.

When Vanden and Wood next hit the pitch, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Vanden will try to stop Vacaville's five-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Wood will face off against River City and their three-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
