It was a good run, but Horizon Honors unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of Phoenix Country Day by a score of 3-2. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, Horizon Honors couldn't push the score so high this time.

Horizon Honors saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lucas Holweger, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Horizon Honors' defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 15-5-1. As for Phoenix Country Day, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-9.

Looking ahead, Horizon Honors will venture away from home to take on Santa Cruz Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Phoenix Country Day, they will host ALA - Anthem South at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles are facing the Titans at the right time seeing as the Titans are stuck on a 12-game losing streak.
