Baseball Recap: Victory Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Victory Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Rock Academy Warriors, falling 14-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-2 last Monday.

Victory Christian Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Max Gardner, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Gardner is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last seven games he's played dating back to last season.

Victory Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Rock Academy, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Victory Christian Academy will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Bonsall at 3:30 p.m. on April 4. As for Rock Academy, they will face off against Mountain Empire at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
