Soccer Recap: Kathleen Takes a Loss

After soaring to eight goals the game before, Kathleen was a bit more limited in their match on Friday. They lost 7-0 to the Robinson Knights. While losing is never fun, the Red Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 516th, while the Knights are ranked 139th).

Kathleen's loss dropped their record down to 3-6-1. As for Robinson, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kathleen will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Lake Gibson at 6:30 p.m. on January 8, 2025. Robinson will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against Riverview at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Robinson is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 5.3 goals per game this season.
