Basketball Recap: Edison Tech Inventors vs. Rush-Henrietta Royal Comets
The Edison Tech Inventors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight defeat. They were dealt a 73-41 defeat at the hands of Rush-Henrietta. Edison Tech has struggled against the Royal Comets recently, as their matchup on Monday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Leading Rush-Henrietta to victory were Avery Council and Jalen Taggart. Council scored 16 points along with seven steals and five assists, while Taggart scored 26 points along with seven rebounds. Council hasn't dropped below 16 points for four straight games. Jahquin Brown was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and 16 rebounds.
Edison Tech has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Rush-Henrietta, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Edison Tech will square off against the Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
