Soccer Recap: Mercer's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

If Mercer was feeling good fresh off their 9-0 takedown of Sharon on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mustangs lost 5-0 to the Butler Golden Tornado on Saturday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Mercer came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 38th, while Butler are ranked 154th).

As for Butler, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Taylor Allderdice on the 15th.
