Spanish Springs is 9-1 against McQueen since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Cougars will square off against the Lancers at 6:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Thursday.
It was a proper cat-fight when Spanish Springs challenged North Valleys on Thursday. The Cougars were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Panthers. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.
While Spanish Springs won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-16, 25-22.

Gianna Antle and Adylenn Trimble were among the main playmakers for Spanish Springs as the former had 12 digs and four assists and the latter had five digs and one assist. That's the most digs Trimble has posted over her last six contests.
Spanish Springs was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 18 aces. They are a perfect 12-0 when they serve at least ten aces.
Meanwhile, McQueen made easy work of Hug on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 win.
McQueen walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). The final score came out to 25-22, 25-22, 25-9.
McQueen's win came from a few key players Spanish Springs will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Nya Lagrone, who had 11 digs and three aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Madi Brenner, who had eight digs and two aces.
Spanish Springs' record is now 18-7. As for McQueen, their record now sits at 13-10.
Spanish Springs took their win against McQueen in their previous matchup back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
