Raceland hadn't done well against Russell recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Raceland Rams took their game with ease, bagging a 67-26 victory over the Russell Red Devils. This was a revenge game for the Rams: when they faced off against the Red Devils two weeks ago, they had to take a 70-64 loss.

Despite the defeat, Russell saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Caleb Rimmer went 5-for-9 en route to 10 points and five rebounds.

Raceland is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season. As for Russell, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-12.

Coincidentally, Raceland and Russell will both be playing Bath County the next time they take the court. Russell will head out to face Bath County at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Raceland will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
