Recap: West Campus Warriors vs. Florin Panthers
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Natomas, the West Campus Warriors were happy to have found some success on Wednesday. They took down Florin 69-51. Given West Campus' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 464th, while Florin is ranked 1114th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Edmund Michalski, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 17 rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last seven games he's played. Another player making a difference was Zach Villanueva, who scored 15 points along with eight assists and four steals.
West Campus has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season. As for Florin, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-16.
West Campus does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Florin also has no future games currently scheduled.
