Basketball Game Recap: Centennial vs. Anoka

Their game last week wasn't at all kind to the Centennial Cougars, but their most recent game may have softened the blow. They were able to grind out a solid victory over the Anoka Tornadoes on Tuesday, winning 83-74. That result was just more of the same for the Cougars, who also won the last time these teams played (January 24th).

The win bumped Centennial's record up to 4-20. Anoka's overall record fell to 4-16.

Centennial will take on Maple Grove Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, Centennial and Maple Grove will really light up the scoreboard. Anoka is on the road again Friday and plays against Osseo. The odds don't look promising for Anoka, but the bigger the opponent is, the harder they fall.
