Basketball Recap: Overland Christian Comes Up Short

Overland Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. The game between them and the Christian Learning Center Mustangs didn't end well, with the Overland Christian Eagle falling 62-44. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagle this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 46-42 back in December of 2024.

It was another big night for Easton Rhodes, who went 8 of 17 en route to 20 points and four steals for Christian Learning Center. Rhodes' evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Brad Allen was another key player, going 7 for 10 on his way to 16 points.

Overland Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Christian Learning Center, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-8.

Overland Christian and Center Place will face off at 7:45 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. As for Christian Learning Center, they will head out to face off against El Dorado Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
