Elias Navarro Delivers Best Effort of Season

On Friday, Schurr got the W thanks in part to Elias Navarro playing the best football he has all season. Navarro wasn't messing around, rushing for 124 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries. The game was his third straight with two or more rushing touchdowns dating back to last season.

Unfortunately for San Gabriel, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Navarro. Navarro rushed for 90 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries, and also picked up 35 receiving yards the last time he and the Matadors duked it out back in September of 2023.

Alvarado Posts Huge Game in 53-0 Victory

Another Schurr player making an appearance on this list is Joseph Alvarado. He rushed for 32 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 102 yards and a touchdown.

Alvarado and Schurr will challenge Mark Keppel at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last time Alvarado took on the Aztecs, he rushed for 63 yards and a touchdown. Can he match (or beat) that performance?

Sebastian Felix was a major factor in Montebello's win over Mark Keppel on Friday. Felix was dynamite, making five total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Adrian Correa Rounds Out Top Five

Rounding off our Top Five is Adrian Correa of Alhambra. Correa picked up 78 receiving yards.

Alhambra is on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6. Correa and Alhambra will look to defend their home field on Friday against Montebello at 7:00 p.m.
