 After a string of 15 wins, West Linn's good fortune finally ran out  on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Tigard Tigers by a score of  8-6. West Linn was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Tigard apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  two weeks ago.
  Rylee Gaustad made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 2-for-3 with a  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs. She is on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  stolen  at least one in the last three games she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Meg Allen, who  got on base  in all four of her plate appearances with  an  RBI.
 West Linn's defeat  ended  a  nine-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 18-2. As for Tigard, their win was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 14-7.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Linn will take on Tualatin at 6:45  p.m.  on Thursday. West Linn's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2  runs per game  this season, so Tualatin's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Tigard, they will look to defend their home field  on Friday against Oregon City at 5:00  p.m. Oregon City knows how to get  runs on the board -- the  squad has finished with flashy  run totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Tigard likes a good challenge.
