Softball Game Preview: Perris Panthers vs. Rancho Christian Eagles

The Perris Panthers will face off against the Rancho Christian Eagles at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Perris is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.6 runs per game this season.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Perris turned things around against Desert Hot Springs on Monday. They blew past the Golden Eagles 18-9. The high-scoring effort was just what the Panthers needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

The team relied heavily on Carina Castaneda, who scored four runs and stole two bases while going 4-for-4. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kimberly Santoyo, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles.

Perris' win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Rancho Christian, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
