Football Recap: Pine Forest Eagles vs. Tate Aggies

Pine Forest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 40-6 defeat at the hands of the Tate Aggies. One positive for the Eagles, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Gabriella Smart had a dynamite game for Tate, throwing for 215 yards and five touchdowns while completing 81.3% of her passes. Those five passing touchdowns gave Smart a new career-high. Grace Anne Best was Smart's top target, picking up 95 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Pine Forest's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Tate, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Pine Forest will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Escambia at 5:30 p.m. on March 10th. As for Tate, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Gulf Breeze at 6:00 p.m. This will be Gulf Breeze's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
