Softball Recap: 13 Straight Home Wins for Coral Springs Charter

Coral Springs Charter waltzed into their game on Tuesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Western Wildcats a 10-0 shutout. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.

Courtney Wahlbrink made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Bree Martinelli, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Addi Brown also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Coral Springs Charter was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in five consecutive contests.
