Volleyball Game Preview: Northridge Knights vs. Bountiful Redhawks

Northridge hasn't had much luck against Bountiful recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Knights will take on the Redhawks at 10:30 a.m. Northridge will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Northridge is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They came out on top against Roy by a score of 3-1.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 22-25, 25-22, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Bountiful faced Woods Cross in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Redhawks came up short against the Wildcats, falling 3-0.

Bountiful took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-15, 25-16.

Northridge will have to keep a close watch on McKinely Duryea and Milika Satuala, a pair of players who had a big impact on Bountiful's prior game. Duryea had eight digs and one assist, while Satuala had 16 kills and five digs. Satuala is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last 58 games she's played dating back to last season.

Bountiful's defeat dropped their record down to 16-11. As for Northridge, their victory bumped their record up to 18-11.

Northridge might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Bountiful in their previous matchup back in August. Can the Knights avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
