Softball Game Preview: Malden Tornados vs. Lynn Classical Rams

Malden is 0-10 against Lynn Classical since April of 2019 but things could change on Monday. The Tornados will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rams at 4:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Malden came up short against Cambridge Rindge & Latin on Friday, falling 15-3.

Meanwhile, Lynn Classical lost 15-3 to Lowell on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Rams in their meetings with the Red Raiders: they've now lost three in a row.

Olivia Rodriguez made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Chloe Corbett was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Lynn Classical's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Malden, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Malden might still be hurting after the 20-9 loss they got from Lynn Classical in their previous matchup back in May of 2025. Can the Tornados avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
