Baseball Recap: Jordan-Matthews Takes a Loss

Jordan-Matthews was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chatham Central Bears. The Jets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bears apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Jordan-Matthews saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Eubanks, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Jordan-Matthews' loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Chatham Central, the win snapped their losing streak at six games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-4 record.

While Jordan-Matthews had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
