Softball Game Preview: Woodcrest Christian Royals vs. Aquinas Falcons

Woodcrest Christian hasn't had much luck against Aquinas recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Royals will head out to square off against the Falcons at 3:30 p.m.

Woodcrest Christian is headed into Wednesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their ninth straight game on Tuesday. They fell 10-6 to Rialto.

Meanwhile, Aquinas came tearing into Tuesday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 14-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won ten games by six runs or more so far this season.

Aquinas pushed their record up to 13-8 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Woodcrest Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.

Woodcrest Christian might still be hurting after the 13-3 defeat they got from Aquinas in their previous meeting on Thursday. Can the Royals avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
