Soccer Recap: Deforest Has No Trouble Against Waunakee

Waunakee kept up with DeForest until halftime on Tuesday, but afterwards: not so much. The Norskies blew past the Warriors 3-0. The result was nothing new for DeForest, who have now won seven games by three goals or more so far this season.

Anya Carrillo and Mckenzie Brandl scored all three of DeForest's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

The victory made it two in a row for DeForest and bumps their season record up to 10-7. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two contests. As for Waunakee, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-5-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. DeForest will face off against McFarland at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Waunakee, they will welcome Muskego at 5:00 p.m. on the 29th. Muskego will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Waunakee surely won't give up without a fight.
