Volleyball Game Preview: South Florence Bruins vs. Darlington Falcons

South Florence has gone 9-1 against Darlington recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Bruins will be playing in front of their home fans against the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Having struggled with five defeats in a row, South Florence turned things around against Latta on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Vikings.

South Florence not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Latta between 14 and 16 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-14, 25-16.

Hailey McManus was nothing short of spectacular: she had six digs and four aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last three matchups. Another player making a difference was Baylor Gregg, who had six digs and three aces.

Meanwhile, Darlington made easy work of Lakewood on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 win.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Darlington was: they took every set by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-12, 25-14.

Darlington's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for South Florence, their win bumped their record up to 8-12-1.

South Florence beat Darlington 3-1 when the teams last played back in September. Will the Bruins repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
