Softball Recap: IDEA South Flores Owls vs. KIPP University Prep
IDEA South Flores scored the most runs they've had all season to find success on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand KIPP University Prep an 18-0 shutout. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.
Leilani Tavitas made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching an inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit (she also didn't allow any walks). Tavitas was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in all two of her plate appearances.
