Basketball Recap: Glenwood Comes Up Short

If Glenwood was riding high fresh off their 57-22 takedown of Bloomington last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Glenwood Titans took a 51-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Decatur Eisenhower Panthers on Friday. The Titans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Glenwood's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 17-9. As for Decatur Eisenhower, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-12.

Coming up, Glenwood won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Collinsville at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Collinsville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.5 points per game this season. As for Decatur Eisenhower, they and Mt. Zion will face off at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. Mt. Zion knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Decatur Eisenhower likes a good challenge.
