Volleyball Recap: Big Horn Wins High-Profile Contest Against Sundance

Big Horn faced Sundance in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Rams came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 3-1. The victory was familiar territory for the Rams, who have now won three matches in a row.

Big Horn had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 15-25, 25-15, 25-17, 25-13.

Afton Cummins paced Big Horn's offense, picking up 15 kills. Cummins got some help from Teeka Baker and her 24 assists.

Despite the loss, Sundance still got an impressive performance from Blakely Gill, who had 20 digs and two assists. Gill has been hot for a while, having posted 12 or more digs the last 12 times she's played.

Big Horn's win bumped their record up to 26-8. As for Sundance, their defeat ended a five-match streak of away wins and brought them to 22-9.

As of now, neither Big Horn nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
