Softball Recap: Mountain Iron-Buhl Takes a Loss

Ely hit Mountain Iron-Buhl with a four-run sixth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Rangers lost 10-3 to the Timberwolves. If the Rangers were looking for revenge after losing 13-5 to the Timberwolves when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Mountain Iron-Buhl has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Ely, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mountain Iron-Buhl will face off against Mesabi East at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ely, they will host Littlefork-Big Falls at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
