Softball Recap: McHenry Warriors vs. Crystal Lake South Gators

McHenry got themselves on the board against Crystal Lake South on Monday, but Crystal Lake South never followed suit. They blew past the Crystal Lake South Gators 13-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for McHenry.

Natalie Bender was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Bender was also big at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a triple, two RBI, and a run. She is on a roll when it comes to triples, as she's now hit at least one in the last three games she's played.

In other batting news, McHenry got a massive performance out of Maddie Hoffman, who went 1-for-3 with a home run and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Tatum Kornfiend, who went 2-for-3 with two triples, two runs, and an RBI.

McHenry's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Crystal Lake South, they haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-9.

Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Jacobs the next time they take the field. McHenry will host Jacobs at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Crystal Lake South will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
