The matchup between Piedmont Academy and Heritage on Friday hardly resembled the 21-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Cougars simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Hawks 57-14. The Cougars' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Piedmont Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 12.0 points on average over those games. As for Heritage, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6.

Looking ahead, Piedmont Academy will look to defend their home field on Friday against George Walton Academy at 7:30 p.m. The Cougars will need to watch out since the Bulldogs have now posted at least 31 points in their last four games. As for Heritage, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Central Fellowship Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on October 10. The matchup will give the Hawks their first taste of in-conference action this season.
