It's playoff time, and Marshfield had no trouble coming through when it counted. They managed a 64-58 victory over the West Plains Zizzers on Saturday. This was a revenge game for the Bluejays: when they faced off against the Zizzers back in February, they had to take a 64-46 loss.

West Plains lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Shaylee Peterson, who almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine rebounds. She has been hot, having posted eight or more boards the last eight times she's played. Another player making a difference was Lucy Hafer, who posted 12 points.

Marshfield has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.2 points over those games. With the defeat, West Plains broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 19-9.

Looking ahead, Marshfield will face off against Helias on March 15th. Marshfield is facing Helias at the right time seeing as Helias is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for West Plains, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 72-51 win against Hillcrest on the 8th.
