Recap: Manteo Redskins vs. Columbia Wildcats
The Manteo Redskins had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They strolled past Columbia with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 44-30. That's another feather in the cap for Manteo, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Manteo was led to victory by CeCe Lowe and Mya Kelly. Lowe scored 9 points along with 11 rebounds, while Kelly scored 4 points along with 10 steals. Another player making a difference was Sydney Ballance, who scored 11 points.
Manteo's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Columbia, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Manteo will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Cape Hatteras at 6:00 p.m. As for Columbia, they will head out on the road to face off against Manteo at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
