Softball Recap: All Saints' Academy Takes a Loss

All Saints' Academy lost against Cambridge Christian back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Saints lost 25-10 to the Lancers. Saints fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Lancers since on Thursday.

Ellie Groseclose made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-3. Olivia Chadwick was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

This is the second loss in a row for All Saints' Academy and nudges their season record down to 2-6. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Cambridge Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.

All Saints' Academy didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 15-5 loss against Santa Fe Catholic on the 1st. As for Cambridge Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 8-2 defeat against Shorecrest Prep on the 28th.
