Softball Game Preview: Flora Wolves vs. Hamilton County Foxes

The Flora Wolves will head out on the road to challenge the Hamilton County Foxes at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hamilton County took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Flora, who comes in off a win.

Flora was handed a 11-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Thursday. They skirted past Fairfield 5-3.

Meanwhile, Hamilton County suffered their closest loss since April 12th on Thursday. They fell just short of Edwards County by a score of 5-3.

Colebie Miller put in work while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Miller was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one double.

In other batting news, Saylor Brown made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

The victory got Flora back to even at 7-7. As for Hamilton County, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 11-11.

Flora might still be hurting after the 8-2 loss they got from Hamilton County in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Wolves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
