Basketball Game Preview: Greely Rangers vs. Mt. Ararat Eagles

The Greely Rangers will challenge the Mt. Ararat Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Greely is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Messalonskee just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 45-43.

Meanwhile, Mt. Ararat came up short against Biddeford on Saturday and fell 62-55.

Mt. Ararat has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Greely, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.

Greely didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Mt. Ararat in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 51-46 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Greely since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
