Soccer Recap: Lincoln-Way West Starts Season with Win Against Solorio

Lincoln-Way West took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Solorio Sun Warriors a 3-0 shutout. The score was close at the half, but the Warriors pulled away in the second half with two goals.

Solorio's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lincoln-Way West will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Bloom at 4:30 p.m. on April 1st. Solorio will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against Back of the Yards College Prep at 5:00 p.m. on April 3rd.
