Softball Recap: Mcdonough's Win Ends Seven-Game Losing Streak on the Road

The third road match was the charm for McDonough, as they earned their first away win of the season. Everything went their way against the Great Mills Hornets on Wednesday as they made off with an 18-9 victory. Considering the Rams have won four contests by more than eight runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

McDonough's win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-7. As for Great Mills, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. McDonough is set to square off against their familiar foe St. Charles on Friday. Meanwhile, Great Mills will face off against rival Lackey at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
