Softball Recap: Simon Gratz Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Simon Gratz extended their winning streak to three on Monday, bumping their season record up to 3-4 in the process. They walked away with a 22-17 win over the Maritime Academy Charter Seadogs. For the Bulldogs, this counts as revenge for the 17-16 victory the Seadogs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2016.

As for Maritime Academy Charter, they now have a losing record of 4-5. They have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For Maritime Academy Charter's part, Olivia Alicea-Rivera made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Taylor Murphy, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Simon Gratz will square off against rival Thomas A. Edison at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Maritime Academy Charter is set to face off against their familiar foe Tacony Academy Charter at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
