Basketball Recap: Del Campo Takes a Loss

Del Campo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a hard 73-59 fall against the Bella Vista Broncos. The Cougars were probably out for revenge after losing 75-72 to them when the teams met back in December of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Mark Otrotsyuk was his usual excellent self, going 9 for 14 from beyond the arc en route to 30 points for Bella Vista. Those 30 points gave Otrotsyuk a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cade Rucker, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 13 points and seven rebounds.

Del Campo's loss dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Bella Vista, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-14.

Del Campo didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-48 defeat against Twelve Bridges on the 29th. As for Bella Vista, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 79-68 victory against Ponderosa on the 29th.
