Paul VI dropped their record down to 11-9 on Saturday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Gloucester Catholic Rams by a score of 2-0. Considering the last time the Eagles couldn't score was back in April, the team can't take the result too hard.

As for Gloucester Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 16-2. The victory continues a trend for them in their matchups with Paul VI: they've now won four in a row.

For Gloucester Catholic's part, not much got past Jude Morgan, who gave up just three hits and racked up eight Ks to keep Paul VI off the board. Morgan has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Guy Lynam, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one run. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Noah Danza was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one RBI.
