Football Recap: Stanley Takes a Loss

The Stanley Blue Jays had to suffer through a 42-7 loss at the hands of the Bottineau Braves/Stars. That's two games in a row now that the Blue Jays have lost by exactly 35 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Stanley and nudges their season record down to 2-6. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 5-2 Ray/Powers Lake (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 79.5% over those games). As for Bottineau, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Stanley is set to challenge their familiar foe Des Lacs-Burlington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Bottineau will face off against rival Ray/Powers Lake on Friday.
