Colony waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 7-4 win over the Soldotna Stars. For Colony, this counts as revenge for the 14-7 loss Soldotna walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2023.
Morgan Gallagher was incredible, going 2-for-2 with two runs, a triple, and a stolen base. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now stolen at least one in the last three games she's played. Bonnie Schmidt was another key contributor, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-1.
Colony has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-6-2 record this season. As for Soldotna, they dropped their record down to 3-3 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.
