Wolcott won the last time they faced Torrington and things went their way on Thursday too. The Eagles blew past the Raiders 3-0.

While Wolcott might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Torrington scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 27-25, 25-22.

Despite the defeat, Torrington saw an underclassman step up: freshman Piper Robinson had 13 digs and four assists.

The win got Wolcott back to even at 7-7. As for Torrington, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Wolcott will challenge rival Naugatuck at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Torrington is set to take on their familiar foe Waterbury Career Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
