Basketball Recap: Halifax Academy Comes Up Short

Halifax Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were dealt a 73-30 defeat at the hands of the Harrells Christian Academy Crusaders. The game marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Several Vikings players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Oliver Anderson, who posted seven points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Crawford, who earned six points.

Antonio Mckoy continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Harrells Christian Academy, going 13 of 15 en route to 28 points and seven rebounds. Mckoy's evening made it 11 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Zicareian Mcneil, who went 7 for 8 on his way to 16 points and four steals.

Halifax Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Harrells Christian Academy, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 21-2.
