Soccer Recap: Bellarmine College Prep Comes Up Short

After flying high against Valley Christian last Saturday, Bellarmine College Prep came back down to earth. The Bellarmine College Prep Bells fell just short of the Archbishop Mitty Monarchs by a score of 2-1 on Wednesday. That makes it the first time this season the Bells have let down their home crowd.

Their goal came courtesy of Matthew Shimizu, who's now up to nine this season.

Bellarmine College Prep's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 11-1 and their overall record down to 15-2. As for Archbishop Mitty, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

Bellarmine College Prep wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Los Altos on the 22nd. As for Archbishop Mitty, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 1-1 defeat against Mountain View on the 22nd.
